Affirmations For You!
Affirmations can be used to turn negative thinking or doubt into positive behaviors. Affirmations are positive statements that we can say to ourselves over and over to allow our unconscious mind to embrace the action. The great thing about affirmations is those statements can become part of our daily reality. Affirmations can be anything you want it to be or a goal that you want to accomplish. The affirmations you say are just a starting point that will make it easier to work toward your goal and do the things that you need accomplish and see the end result. You still have a lot of work to do. You will have to work hard towards your goal and never give up.
Affirmations are only a starting point for you. Think about it, first you need to write a few positive statements in the present tense that will help you stay focus and put your mind in motion. Next, say them out loud. You can do this first thing in the morning before you encounter the world, during the mid-day to help you keep going in a time when you are over-whelmed, or the last thing you do before going to bed when your brain is the most receptive. You can place them in places around your house on a piece of paper to remind you of your goals. You can place them on the mirror in your bathroom, on the refrigerator, or anywhere you will be able to see them when you wake up and when you go to bed.
Look at the sample affirmations below. Change them to fit your life and put them to work.
1. Today is full of opportunities, and I welcome each one!
2. Only I have the power to change my life, and the beginning is today.
3. I am competent, confident, experienced, and talented!
4. I deserve endless abundance in all areas of my life.
5. I am grateful for [fill in the blank with your own words].
The one thing that you should remember is that you need to be consistent regarding the use of your affirmations. Things may not change the first day you start using them or the first month. But once you begin to believe in what you are saying, you will see a vast change in your positive thoughts and this could be the turning point in your outlook and your sense of self-worth.
